6 ️ EX 3/5 SS Hilbert and Genesect Offense Against 5 Types Showcase – Pokémon Masters EX

Even though the banner Hilbert reran on ended nearly a month ago, I’ve waited over a full YEAR to make this showcase and I am not going to delay it any further!
So for those who didn’t see my community post, I got SS Hilbert from the triple Unova rerun banner (aka the one I wanted the most). I have been desperate for this unit, literally since he first dropped and he did not disappoint at all! So much so, that I had so many ideas for a showcase that I had to it into two separate showcases! This one will focuses on Hilbert’s Offensive capabilities (as the title implies, while the one I’ll release in a couple of days will go over his utility). So I’ll focus the remainder of the description on SS Hilbert’s offense.
Don’t quote me on this, but I think SS Hilbert is still the strongest Bug DPS atm. I’m not entirely sure though, since no one has Variety Noland, but I’m 90% sure Hilbert’s damage is better. SS Hilbert’s DPS in general is insane…as long as your one of the five types affected by Hilbert’s passives. Hilbert’s damage is VERY bad off-type and shouldn’t even be considered to be used off-type (aside from being ran exclusively for Metal Sound). But for those four types, his damage is very good! He also has a pretty solid nuke, although it’s only Bug Type, which is very limiting in CS. Aside from that, Hilbert is a very powerful unit who is honestly very much worth investing for his power alone, especially if you don’t have strong units for one of the following five types. Enjoy!

0:00 Fire
Fire is honestly a very forgettable type for Hilbert, especially due to Fire’s massive roster. That being said, he still does very good damage, especially in the sun! He’s also great partners with Anni N, who can make up for Hilbert’s lack of an On/Type sync move.
I also figured this would be a good time to show Weakening Fire. It’s not very good, mainly due to the fact that not many Fire Types require any debuffs, let alone Attack debuffs. It helps N here kinda, but Blue ended up getting One-shot anyways. It can be good
against Cobalion ig, but not much else.

2:09 Water
Probably the strongest team in this video.
SS Kris Lucian feels slightly overkill, but I need the rain so I think it’s fine. I do unironically think this is Hilbert’s weakest type though. Not because it’s bad, but because Water has 10 billion units and he doesn’t stand out much compared to many other Water types. Still, a solid choice if your bored of the same Water types like me.

4:40 Electric
Classic Elesa and SS Hilbert are another strong Unova duo, especially since Elesa can activate Brainteaser for Hilbert very easily. Plus, like Anni N, she makes up for Hilbert’s lack of an On-Type sync move. I couldn’t think of many support options, so I went with Ball Guy for the haha. I did get a free 100 Points thanks to his Clear Smog though!

7:06 Ice
Irida and Hilbert were such a good combo, that I need a weaker support to compensate for them. Luckily, Rosa fit that bill perfectly. I haven’t gotten the chance to try her post Master Day dupe, so I figured I could use her here. Irida also helps with an Ice Nuke, like the last few clears.

9:21 Bug (Zoneless)
Obviously, this is Hilbert’s best type by far. Unfortunately, I am still currently Bug Zoneless, so I had to make due with what I had. Holiday Jasmine’s constant SEUN was essentially Hilbert in Zone though, let’s be honest. Palentines Dawn helped enable Brainteaser.
