Introducing Archangel Exiel:
Archangel Exiel is this gauntlet’s main boss and is a Colossal variant of Mr. Angel. In addition to a greatly improved Weaken ability from the original enemy with 100% proc rate and 15 sec duration, Exiel now has a piercing Omnistrike attack from 210 standing range to 260 and a 100% chance to Warp your units. Unless you have a way to Curse Exiel, Ramen will constantly be Warped and cannot fully stall Exiel. There are 3 ways of going about stalling Exiel. The first is to bring Curse. Though Boomerang does target Angel, Exiel’s nature as a fast rusher enemy leads Boomerang to often miss Exiel, so Curse should be left to ubers such as Cosmo, Dasli, and Kinrangers. The second is to spam a ton of meatshields. While this is more effective than pure Ramen spam, it isn’t better by much. The third and most preferable method is to constantly Slow Exiel to prevent movement. Sanzo is unfortunately outranged, but the new addition of Farmboy solves this problem and allows you to easily stall Exiel as long as Farmboy can land hits. If you don’t have Farmboy, Cyberpunk can suffice if stacked.

This stage features a lot of fast, hard-pushing Aku and Black peons with the goal of them carving a path forward for Exiel. The enemies are limited though and you are given some time to build your wallet at the start. Make sure you bring enough firepower to take down the peons to isolate Exiel for Farmboy. Aku Gory is by far the most threatening enemy here.

2:22 – Blessing Lv. MAX
This stage has basically the opposite dynamic. Instead of hard-pushing enemies, this stage has slow, deadly enemies who usually can’t push with the goal of Exiel carving a path through for them to deal with your most powerful units. ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN FOR BORE JR. This is the sole exception to the non-pushing support the stage has and slip-ups can easily kill you due to Bore Jr’s insane raw strength. However, his stats are low even at 150% so you’ll likely have plenty of ways to get around him, especially with Hitman in the lineup.

Jagando ends up being the carry here as he can keep Bore Jr. and Mr. Mer controlled so they don’t interfere with your efforts to stall Exiel. Your biggest threat is actually the Sir Seals who block Farmboy from getting direct hits on Exiel. Courier is too costly to spam the whole time, but Jagando also has enough damage to quickly take them out. Capy threatens your Legends, but as long as Exiel is stalled well, Jagando and Naala should make quick work of them.

This is actually the run that went the worst for me and usually this strat will let you snowball pretty quickly into a win. Exiel sometimes just gets in randomly and takes away your offensive power like what happened in this run and that’s when you start getting pushed back. Luckily, this lineup is also very good at recovering from these situations. It can also beat all of the followup orb stages thanks to Farmboy stalling both Boraphim in Summit and Winged Pigge in Frontier.

I actually don’t have any ubers on this account that do better than this lineup, so no ubercarried run this time. Probably the only time I’ll say this for the remainder of the Colossal Gauntlets.
