I believe that Quake II RTX is the best mod out there for Quake II PC but Berserker Mod for Quake II is the best mod without RTX technology capable video cards. Berserker Mod demonstrated great fps and the best visuals while comparing all Quake 2 mods including Quake 2 XP mod. Berserker Mod is better than Quake 2 XP mod.
Keep in mind that Berserker Mod is crashing above 4K UHD video resolution and I think maybe it is 32-bit game engine that overloading something but it is not possible 5K, 6K, 7K or 8K video resolutions in Berserker Mod for Quake 2, so 4K UHD is the maximum video resolution.
