Chrono Trigger: An Epic Orchestral Tribute (Full Live Concert Footage)
This is the footage from the Chrono Trigger tribute concert which took place on July 6, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. It was the first ever fully live performance featuring some of my arrangements. Here’s a link to the Chrono Trigger Epic Orchestral Medley, which this is performance was based on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?vi377x2xVgUw Besides my arrangements of tracks from Yasunori Mitsuda’s CT soundtrack, the concert also featured the original works of three other composers, Nathan Felix (3:37), Ryan McQuinn (13:00), and Timothy William (24:25). Their compositions played first; the Chrono Trigger performance is the second act of the concert. The CT music doesn’t actually start until (38:17). The video was recorded and mastered by Timothy William.

The Symphonic Underground and myself did a lot to promote and hype this concert last year, including a kickstarter campaign and lots of social media spam. For that reason, I feel the need to extend a sincere apology for the various hiccups we’ve all endured. There have been several glitches in regards to this concert as well as the campaign, and thus, a lot of the things which were initially promised during said campaign are late- most notably, the studio quality recording of the arrangement, which we wanted to release alongside the physical materials. The highest level rewards (the custom compositions) have been completed and uploaded to YouTube some time ago, and the physical materials are, in fact, mostly ready- it’s just the studio recording that’s presently holding everything up. This is, as I stated, largely due to hiccups and financial strain. We did this on an extremely tight shoestring budget, which meant that the S.U. could only afford one full day of rehearsal.

That all being said, I can assure you that this recording session has been/is still being worked on. We plan on giving all the patrons a much nicer video with a more polished performance (sans glitches) as well as several other materials. I’ll also be uploading a version of the studio recording to Youtube in a few months from now. However, for the time being, here is a video of July’s live concert. I swear! It happened, haha! I hope it will be enjoyable for those who couldn’t make it in person.

There have been details posted on the Kickstarter page about all of this stuff, but I figured I would keep everyone up to date on here as well, since not everybody checks the page regularly; the Symphonic Underground, in turn, has been keeping me in the loop about the stuff going on at their end, and have even streamed a couple recording sessions from Florida in order to let me watch.

Take the opportunity to connect and share this video with your friends and family if you find it useful.
