Dark Souls Remastered Material and Consumable Dupe Guide (Console Version)

Another glitch shown to us by the Japanese speedrun community (thanks to remihura – https://twitter.com/remihura55/status/1260584114706669572 )

Unfortunately unlike the soul/humanity dupe this is a lot slower than the PC version of this dupe.

Steps:
1. Dupe a lot of souls.

2. Buy enough stuff so you are over the 10,000 unit weight limit (eg: 615 sets of Giant Armor).

I use armor because you’re probably going to want to upgrade weapons more and you don’t want to scroll through 999 pikes or 556 giant shields to get to your other weapons.

3. Buy a really light weapon (eg: Caestus).

4. Drop that weapon and try to pick it up (doing this repeatedly would increase the number in the stack, but you don’t need more than 99).

5. Drop enough stuff so you are comfortably under the weight limit. (15 sets of giant armor)

6. Pick up the duplicated weapon.

7. Talk to the merchant again and open the menu to buy another of the weapon (don’t actually buy it).

8. Perform the brightness dupe from the other video but instead of using the item, drop the maximum negative quantity of the item.

9. To repeat the dupe you only need to go from step 7.
