This speedrun completes the game from a fresh file to defeating the final boss, Lady Luck, at the end of the game.
Timing starts when I press /”Play/” on the title screen of a fresh save and ends when Lady Luck’s health reaches 0.
Pretty much all glitches are fair play, although using the editor isn’t allowed since you could just win all the fights in one turn.
In order to unlock episodes you have to finish 5 different character games. Quitting doesn’t count, but losing a game counts, so I try to lose with the other 4 characters as fast as possible.
The two main glitches are the equipment glitch that allows you to take equipment between episodes. Once you select Equipment, go back but before the screen fully transitions, click and hold one piece of equipment. When you get back to the Equipment screen (even in another episode), hold the mouse button as soon as possible and drag the equipment back into a slot. This allows you to bring some equipment with you.
The other glitch is the skip to backstage. You do have to complete one bonus round to get to Backstage, but you only need to press Start on a character you’ve unlocked, then press left on a controller immediately to point the selector to backstage.
Also, I do a bit of save scumming to reset fights before I lose them.
