Playing Dota 2 is like playing in a casino; you play against the house. Houses always win. The probability is set so that it keeps you playing nonstop.

If you have not noticed, Dota 2 makes you keep playing by matching you against good players when you win and pairing you with good players when you lose. The objective is to give you enough dopamine to keep playing. They will start pairing you with players who keep disconnecting after your winning streak. Sounds familiar?

The better you play, they just make sure the better you lose the following game.
