Game of Thrones hides a disturbing lie, as the story could have happened differently. When we reflect on Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire, we tend to focus on how the characters are constantly in danger. Generally, those who are not prepared to play the game end up losing their lives. We don’t expect to see inexperienced characters defeat highly skilled knights. Everyone advances according to their own skills and resources. However, there is one notable exception: Samwell Tarly. For some reason, Samwell seems to have some sort of plot armor protecting him. He’s been on the brink of death on multiple occasions, even facing White Walkers, and is currently one of the most prominent figures in King’s Landing. But what would you think if I suggested that the story we’ve followed in Game of Thrones might not be true? In this video, we’ll be talking about Sam Tarly and the big lie.
