The key to the vault can be found in the Headmaster’s Office which is accessible during the Polyjuice side quest or after its completion. Enter the Headmaster’s office and exit through the second door on the left. Follow the stairs that lead up to the office loft, and you will find the key on left side of the table.
In order to get this and all of the field guide pages you must use the spell Revelio. When you are next to the page and use Revelio, it will become visible and you can pick it up and add it to your collections.
