How I Wind My Yarn Into Center-Pull Cakes By Hand
I’ve been winding my yarn into these cute little center-pull cakes using my fingers and I thought I would show you how I do it! You can use a large crochet hook or a paper towel roll, but I just like using my thumb so I don’t need to grab any extra materials. I use this technique for my leftover yarn as they are so compact to store and they stack nicely. You can do this with new yarn too so that it’s easier to work with since it sits flat and pulls from the center!

Position your initial yarn end downwards as this will be your center pull. Wind your yarn a couple of times and insert your thumb into the loop. Methodically wind your yarn from the bottom right to the top left. After winding a few times, rotate – soon you will see your beautiful cake forming! Hope you find this helpful and that you enjoy winding your yarn into cakes! {Yarn used: Hue Me by Lion Brand Yarn & Two of Wands }
