Today, I am going to teach you one of the best, and most simple glitches on Pokemon Crystal: Getting all 3 starters.This WILL work on Gold and Silver, the timing is just a bit different during the save point. For Gold and Silver, you can reset it at any point when it says /”Saving, please don’t turn off the power./” First step for you to do is to start a new game. Go through the intro, I know it’s long, you’ll survive. Alright, so once you get past the long intro, go to where you pick your first Pokemon. Save. Now. Seriously. It’s a requirement.

Legitimately save. Not that save-state thing. Actual save. Don’t skip this.

I’m picking Cyndaquil, you can pick whatever you want, as long as you remember what you picked the first time. Now go visit Mr. Pokemon, get the egg. Battle your rival.

Head back, go through the whole rival naming thing, blah blah blah.The moment I’ve been waiting for. Getting Pokeballs. The glitch can now commence. Catch any wild Pokemon. Now you should have 2 Pokemon in your party. Head to the very fiest Pokemon Center and deposit your starter. Leave the wild Pokemon that you just caught with you.

Now change box. Go to a box that you were not in originally. you have to turn the power off about a half second after the last period in /”SAVING.. DON’T TURN OFF THE POWER./”. On emulators, simply hit reset at this point.

Now, you will be sent back to Elm’s place, standing in front of the Pokeballs again. Grab one of the Pokemon you didn’t pick in the first place. Just repeat the steps up until the part where you need to deposit your starter.
