How to Evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Hello to all the new trainers! This is just a quick tutorial/guide showing you how to evolve your Gimmighoul into Gholdengo. I also explain some of the locations and where to find these Gimmighoul coins scattered across the Paldea region! Gimmighoul is a very special Pokémon that can be found in two different forms: the common ‘Roaming’ Form that cannot be battled or caught, and the rarer less-common ‘Chest’ Form.

The ‘Roaming’ forms can be found practically anywhere throughout the region, and can drop between 1-200 coins. Once you collect their coin(s) they have a 50% chance everyday to respawn in the same locations. The ‘Chest’ forms are mostly found atop the many Watchtowers scattered across Paldea, but can also be found in Ruins, on Islands across the Paldean Sea, and in other random areas.

These Pokémon you’re able to actually battle and catch! Once you defeat/catch them, they can drop between 30-777 coins! After you collect their coins, they only have a 5% chance everyday to respawn in the same locations.

Once you finally have the max amount of 999 Gimmighoul coins, simply have a Gimmighoul in your party..and level it up once to evolve it! Just remember…once you evolve your Gimmighoul, ALL the coins you’ve collected will be used up, and you’ll need to collect them all over again if you want another Gholdengo! Also, you can speak to the coin man in Medali to receive the coins you’ve picked up (while having the max amount) so don’t forget!
