How to make a new Gather space in half an hour!

Making a new custom space for Gather, either to use as your home space for meetings or classes, or to use for a walk-through tour or specific exhibition, can be a massive time suck. But it needn’t be!

Let me show you one weird old tip (and a large number of fairly normal tips) that will let you go from zero to having an exciting, engaging Gather space tailored to your needs in just half an hour! Plus it will be a relatively lightweight space that will not demand as many computing resources as one made using Gather’s in-built objects for furniture and scenery. In the process I’ll show you the basics of using the Gather map editor, impassable tiles, private spaces, portal tiles and some of the ways to make the best use of interactive objects.
