In this video, we take another request from a viewer with the Tier 3 sub to the channel and teambuild around Tyranitar! Tyranitar has had some problems in Sword & Shield because of the multiple weaknesses and dynamax but with the ability to terastallize and dynamax being gone, it is quite strong once again thanks to its excellent bulk stats and high physical damage output. From here, it’s all about going with a balance build with a FWG (fire-water-grass) core and some strong speed control to help Tyranitar and some allies sweep. Garchomp makes a lot of sense as you start with a Dragon type and can benefit from the sand with Sand Veil. Corviknight gives the steel typing that Tyranitar needs as a pivot while also giving Tailwind support and end game outs with Bulk Ups and Roosts. The key core is the Rotom-Amoongus-Gastrodon core (aka the RAG core) as they’re all bulky options that can inflict status while also giving redirection thanks to Rage Powder and something to play in Trick Room games (since Amoongus is so slow). Nice combinations include the discharge from Rotom into Gastrodon or Garchomp, while the later can click Earthquake next to Corviknight and Rotom.
Shoutouts to PqlarBear for the original 6, especially with the Corviknight as it is a Pokemon that I have enjoyed this format.
