The Crucifix in Phasmophobia is one of the essential tools that protects you from being attacked by the evil spirits.

When held in hand or thrown down the crucifix will prevent a ghost hunt within a range of 3m or 9.8ft.. When you’re dealing with a demon the crucifix has an even stronger effect and will protect you within 5m or 16.4ft of range. The range is not limited by walls or any other obstacles like furniture.
The crucifix can protect you from 2 hunts in total. After that it will glow in a burning red color with pieces missing. It can no longer protect you then.
The crucifix will not protect you from cursed hunts initiated by cursed possessions like the voodoo doll or cursed mirror. Also it won’t protect you when the ghost is already hunting.
I strongly recommend to throw down the crucifix at the exact same place where the ghost performs a ghost event. In many cases the ghost iniates a cursed hunt at that very same position.

I just got out of 10 years of service in the German military as an instructor in the mountain specialized infantry. While I had a spectecular time in the army I decided to leave and am now studying Marketing full time.
I switched from streaming in German to English because I think streaming is a great way to improve my language level… and getting rid of some thicccccc German accent. 🙂
