I Miss The Neptunia Series

A 24-minute unscripted ramble and rant about a franchise I hold near & dear to myself. A franchise I got into starting in 2015. The Neptunia series brought me easily hundreds of hours of joy back in the day, on the PS3 and PC alike, yet nowadays newer releases only seem to make me groan, because the love for the franchise from its developers and publishers seems to just no longer be there.

I’m fed up with the state of the franchise. Ever since Compile Heart saw how profitable it became porting their titles to PC and focusing on spin-offs, this franchise turned to utter shit, with each release not inspiring much hope. After a very disappointing /”10-year anniversary/” celebration in 2020, I’ve been meaning to make a video like this for a while, essentially ranting about the state of the series. I never did because I could never find the time or motivation, until recently.

I genuinely miss the Neptunia series. I miss the mainline games. I miss being excited for new releases. But with each year progressively getting worse and worse, I’m not really holding onto much hope anymore.
