Idle Slayer – Status Update (10-29-23)

Version 5.1 has been released and I’ve officially given up on earning 500 Qa slayer points for the Edge Master upgrade. The new update actually made it harder, but I’m not going into the details of that right now. My new goal is the 15 Ultra Ascension achievement, which means I need to play more actively again. It has been less than two days since I did an Ultra Ascension, and I’m ready to do it again, but I’m going to wait and see what happens with the upcoming Shovel Knight crossover event before I start chaining all of those UAs.

Video starts out with a Victor Alpha fight. I haven’t been able to do it without being hit yet, but since my reward had all possible bonuses, I don’t see any reason to do the fight anymore. I just need to upgrade that ring in the village now.

Bestiary has been added to the game. This is another reason I’m holding off on doing Ultra Ascension again. I didn’t bother to gather the expensive monsters before doing my previous Ultra Ascension, so I’m sticking around to get them on this UA. With the Stone of Rage now unlocked, it has been very helpful in earning money so I can progress through the quests faster.

Looking over the achievement list, we see a bunch of achievements that I skip over. These all require the cloudsave feature to be used in order earn them, and I’m still not using it and don’t plan on it. I’ll quit the game when there is too much stuff locked behind the cloudsave rather than make an account. It wasn’t needed when I started playing many years ago, so I see no reason to start using it mid-playthrough.

It appears I have 10 perfect chest hunts, but I don’t remember them. The last one I took notice of and took a screenshot for was number 7 back in June. I just don’t recall 8, 9, or 10. I guess that happens when it no longer matters.
