Dwarf Fortress is an intricate, expansive simulation of a world, that you get to create stories within. Developed by a 2-man team, Dwarf Fortress is roughly 50% complete after 18 years in development. The Steam Edition was released on Dec. 6th 2022 and brought a more intuitive UI and a default tileset to what is traditionally an ASCII game.
