Leftover (?)Splitscreen commands on CS2

When using the console, there is an command that splits the screen: splitscreen_mode. This functionality was on Half-Life PS2 (exclusive to that port) , L4D2 and 1 under another command or natively(on 360) and Portal 2 , but not seen after that in other Valve games. The command is kinda broken, in the second, third and fourth screen it glitches, but what’s curious about it is that you can split it up to 4. Maybe this was for testing Source 2 or an leftover , or Valve is planning to add splitscreen?
