Once you have this aspect. Start getting gear that has resource generation, mana cost reduction, increased mana pool and cooldown reduction. (these are the most important stats that allows you to spam more lightning balls.)
Other good stats are the obvious: crit chance, dmg to close, ranks to mastery, lucky hit %, attack speed
Be sure to be doing the world bosses whenever they come up, they can drop 3 items at max item level for the world tier. WT4 drops 925 gear from the world boss. You really want 925 ilv weapons, the stats dont matter as much (yet). You want max dps on weapons first, then worry about stats after.
As sorcerer, its very easy to obtain resistance cap with the paragon board, late game be sure to get 70% on all elements and if you plan on doing tier 100 nightmares, try to aim for 13,200 armor and a good amount of life. Otherwise you might be very squishy even if you do a lot of dmg.
