Da Capo gives complete Stagger Immunity. Music of Continuum gives all pages 3-6 Music notes at the start of the Act, Conjunction happens if Music Note difference is 2 or less between pages used, Performance activates if Conjunction activated number of Speed Dice -1 times (You can’t activate Continuum on your first page so it has to be -1). Music Notes can max out at 40 and the amount is shown on each combat page. Conjunction gives 2 Power and 1 Music Note. Performance lets all allies draw Conjunction number of pages. Did you get all that? Everyone of Katya’s cards interact with this mechanic in someway. Sound in Unison gives all allies Sound of Connection if Continuum activated. Sound of Connection gives the card with it On Use restore 1 light and gain 1 power. Peal gives cards with 18 or more Music Notes the additional effect to restore 1 Light. the most beautiful performance begins moves to next Phase at 500 Hp.
Cards. All Music Note Effects are going to be shortened to Music X. Fermata restores 2 light, Music 5 discards 1 to draw 2. It also does bonus stagger damage equal to dice value on clash win. Accent Music 5 restore 3 light, Music 20 it becomes Desperate Movement (check phase 3 for that). It also inflicts 1 Feeble on hit. Dièse gives 3 Music Notes to the next page, and Music 15 draws your most expensive page and reduces its cost by 1. It also gives the highest Hp ally 1 Strength on hit. Bemolle reduces Music Notes of next page by 2, and Music 10 draws your least expensive page and increases the cost by 1. It also gives highest Hp ally 2 Protection on hit. Crescendo gives 1 Strength, and Music 15 draws 2 pages and reduces cost of first page by 1 and second page by 2. It also draws 1 on hit. Diminuendo reduces Music Notes of a page in hand by 2 on clash lose, and Music 10 gives 2 Protection. It also does 2 Damage on hit. Attacca restores 4 light and draws 1 if it activated Conjunction, does 3 stagger damage on hit, and does 3 damage on hit. Double Dièse doubles the next pages Music Note value, and doubles all status ailments (I believe good and bad) on self if Conjunction activated. It also inflicts 2 Disarm on hit. If you can always clash Double Dièse last or Music Notes will get out of hand. Double Bemolle reduces a random pages Music Notes by 3, and destroys the opponents first dice if Conjunction activated. Always clash Double Bemolle first if you can, so it can’t activate Conjunction.
Phase 2 Dessert returns. Katya has new passives. Sound in Unison prevents Katya from taking damage while Dessert is alive. Peal causes all Librarians to lose 1-4 light whenever a page with 34 or more Music Notes is played, and each Scene all pages gain 1 Music Note. I hope you kept Music Notes low or else you now have no light. Orchestra gives Dessert status immunity, Dessert ignores untargetable, and when Dessert dies Phase 3 starts. Dessert has a new card Harmony Ruling. Harmomy Ruling discards a card to make Conjunction activated if the difference in Music Notes is 15 or less for the Scene. It also does 3 damage on hit. Harmomy Ruling basically means all cards now activate Conjunction, so all of Katya’s pages have 2 Power (except the first).
Phase 3. With Dessert dead Katya will use Desperate Movement on all speed dice. Broken Performance gives all Katya’s cards 40 Music Notes, 3 speed value on all speed dice, status ailment immunity, and ignores untargetable. Desperate Movement does (Music Notes times 10)% more Stagger Damage, loses 2 Music Notes, and inflicts 1 Feeble on hit. 400% stagger damage funny. If you have Binah Pillar as many Desperate Movements as possible, otherwise just do your best to have at least 1 person survive. After all Katya’s cards will roll 1 and Katya will Stagger for the rest of the Reception after. Finale of the Performance staggers Katya Permanently, and causes them to take 200% more damage.
This fight is more overwhelming than difficult. If you understand Conjunction and can mess up Katya’s Music Note gain this fight isn’t bad. If you can’t this fight is 0 light the reception. However I do think 9 Desperate Movement is a little excessive. It also is annoying that Double Dièse can make Music Notes a real pain to manage. I don’t hate this fight, but it isn’t my favorite either. The other fight with Katya though… Let’s just say I will not be doing that one. I would argue though the other character in that fight is what makes it difficult.
