[MHR:S] Special Sheath VS. Sacred Sheath: In-Depth LS Analysis

This is a video I’ve wanted to make for quite awhile since Sunbreak was released…

Today’s video is a detailed comparison of the two main playstyles for LS in Sunbreak- the Iai Spirit Slash/Spirit Helmbreaker/Harvest Moon playstyle that we’ll call /”Special Sheath/” playstyle and the Silkbind Sakura Slash/Sacred Sheath Counter/Spirit Release Slash playstyle that we’ll label as /”Sacred Sheath/” playstyle for the purposes of this video.

Although Special Sheath is predominantly the most widely used and accepted playstyle for speedrunners, there are a few Sacred Sheath runs and it’s damage can be a lot more comparable if not superior at lower skilled tiers of play. I want to make sure that viewers recognize one playstyle is not inherently better than the other, but rather that these playstyles are more beneficial than the other in specific scenarios. This video will discuss the pros and cons relating to each playstyle, showcase a full run against the same monster with optimized builds for a damage comparison, and hopefully bring about some information into the community that you will find useful!

I do rant a lot about Harvest Moon and my gripes with that skill, so please take my words with a pinch of salt and when taking into consideration both playstyles in online I’m referring to normal hunts and not synchronized speedruns.
