So this is a thing that I never knew existed. The Japanese version of Mighty Final Fight has some variation in the game dialogue, such as Damnd/Thrasher having three different chances at damaging his ego before the fight, but Abigail’s quiz is easily the most notable change. Sadly, between regions he changes from a devious quizmaster to an average dick.

I created some English subtitles that you can either read below or use the CC button on the player.

Keep in mind I know next to nothing about Japanese, and even less when it’s written, so there’s almost definitely errors here. I used Google Translate pretty heavily as well as checked some other places. Finally, I’m not a native English speaker, so a couple of the weird sounding sentences might partially be my fault. I’ll add comments below the lines if I have something to say about them.

[Start]
I am the Mad Gear’s quiz king.
– _Might be a little off, but I feel this isn’t too far from the gist._

If you can answer all of my questions correctly

I’ll do something nice, but make one mistake

and you’re done. Wanna try?
Yes – No

[No]
Gehaha! Chickening out? Fine, a contest of strength it is then!
– _Guess /”げはは (gehaha)/” is a laugh, couldn’t find anything. Also, /”chickening out/” might be a stretch of the wording, though I did find a couple sources implying /”give up/” or /”back out/” works, most of them just said /”run away/”._

[Yes]
You do, eh? Then here we go.

[Question 1]
Haggar’s daughter’s name is Jussica.
Yes – *No*
– _Uses ュ (yu) instead of ェ (e), which seems visually more subtle than literally going from E to U, but whatever I’m no writist._

[Question 2]
At full stamina, the food you pick up becomes EXP.
*Yes* – No
– _Considered calling it Strength Meter to match the localized manual, but stamina is good enough and (I think) still accurate._

[Question 3]
The Round 2 boss wields a sword in his right hand.
Yes – *No*
– _I can’t word this right at all. Considering the correct answer is no, I believe he’s implying Round 2’s boss, Sodom (Katana), only has one sword. Perhaps being deliberately obtuse._

[Question 4]
Damnd goes ‘gehi gehi’ when he laughs.
*Yes* – No
– _Another one I can’t word right. Round 1’s boss, Damnd (Thrasher), likes to laugh and the game uses the onomatopoeia /”ゲヒゲヒ (gehi gehi)/” when he does. According to a thread I read, it’s /”a vulgar way of laughing/
