[Movie Episode 55] DUNE: Update–Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) 1/4 Scale Figure

I unboxed this 1/4 scale figure a few episodes ago. When I unboxed it, I pulled the body out of the box; the arm was not attached. It really didn’t cross my mind that anything was amiss at first. I have purchased 1/4 scale figures with attachable arms and legs; they were designed that way to fit into the box. I thought this was intentionally designed to be an attachable arm. It wasn’t until I was putting the figure together that I noticed it was broken. There was no insertion peg of any form; it was definitely broken. I later contacted the company (Prime 1 Studio) and asked them to view the video. They agreed it was broken and offered to make it right. They noted if I could send the body back to them. It would take approximately 14 to 16 weeks to produce a new body. However, it was possible I might have to do some sanding to make everything come together perfectly. I thought if I had to sand something, I might end up with another damaged statue. The other option they noted was store credit. I lamented that I didn’t want to chance ruining the body and that since the figure possessed a very /”clean/” break in terms of the arm (except for one tiny piece in a very obscure spot), I figured I could fix it with my husband’s help. I did complain about the low store credit, which they increased to 90. I suppose this episode is more about the do’s and don’ts as it relates to damaged figures.
