Hello Friends! Just in time for Valentine’s day we have a supercute cookie recipe to bake up some mug cookies featuring Hello Kitty, Badtz-maru, and Pochacco. These cookies are a perfect treat for yourself, a friend or a Valentine. With pre-made cookies and a few different kinds of food coloring we’ll transform these ready-made cookies to some super sweet friends!

Let’s get started!

Materials needed:
Food Coloring: Yellow and Black
3 oz of Pasteurized Egg Whites
2 Tbsp of Water
4 cups of confectioners sugar
Icing decorating bottle
Black food marker
Pre-made Sugar cookies
Heart shaped cookie cutter
Baking Sheet
Pink Fondant
Spatula
Rolling Pin

How to Make Hello Kitty and Friends Mug Cookies Step-by-step instructions:
(1:21) Step 1: Roll out your favorite pre-made dough. Cut out with a cookie cutter.
(1:34) Step 2: Cut a small notch at the bottom of the cookies
(1:50) Step 3: Time to make some icing! Mix the water, egg whites and sugar together.
(02:10) Step 4: Add food coloring for all the colors you’ll need and pour into your decorating bottles.
(02:30) Step 5: Cover two cookies with white icing – one for Hello Kitty and one for Pochacco. Cover a final cookie with black icing for Badtz-maru. Wait for the icing to fully dry.
(02:45) Step 6: Use black icing to draw Hello Kitty’s eyes and whiskers.
(02:51) Step 7: Use pink fondant to make Hello Kitty’s bow. Form into three balls and add a little dimple for the inside of her bow.
(03:09) Step 8: Add a yellow oval for her nose and she’s ready to go!
(3:15) Step 9: Time to decorate our Friend of the month – Pochacco! Use black icing for his ears, eyes and nose.
(3:26) Step 10: Use the black food marker to draw the hair on the top of his head.
(3:38) Step 11: Now to our favorite mischievous penguin – Badtz-maru! Use white icing to draw two sideways Ds for his eyes. Use a toothpick to adjust the shape if you need to.
(3:58) Step 9: Use yellow icing to draw a moon shape for the top of his beak, and a thin oval for the bottom.
