NES Tetris all 256 levels with super killscreen linecap

Because players got too good at playing tetris in tournaments to the point of games going on for longer than needed, the tetris GYM hack that they use in tournaments added a linecap mod that introduces a second killscreen at level 39, which doubles the drop speed from 1 row every frame to 2 rows on every frame. Also interestingly, the super killscreen persists even once the level wraps around to level 0, unlike the normal one where the speed drops back down to level 0 speed. This TAS showcases what it would be like to go through the entire game and to continue playing long after you should have been stopped by the lightning fast speeds. Despite the joke I make down there, I don’t think anyone will ever get consistent enough to actually get consistent on this like people have with the regular killscreen. When TASing this, I had so many instances of having to replay sections because of getting into unwinnable situations, even getting pieces all the way left with only a single row at the bottom is hard, so I prioritized throwing O pieces to the left as they’re easy. Even then, sometimes you have to act the frame the piece spawns to get it over, and on top of that you have to react based on what piece is coming next as well. You have to do all of your normal Tetris planning and playing, and you have a sixth of a second to do it. Oh and did I mention that sometimes tucks are literally impossible due to the pieces skipping the frame where they would fit in. Yeah, no one is ever gonna reach level 41, maybe, just maybe someone could get lucky with a few pieces, a couple well timed tetrises so they skip through most of level 39, but I’ve only seen people make a few line clears on ks2x speed, it’s just not feasible.
