It’s been a few months since I last used Mihawk in this stage, but now I cut the time down from the 10 something minutes from my last video. Figured I might as well update it and write a short analysis/guide for him since he’s one of my most played.
Mihawk is a (probably one of the only) fantastic user of the passive skill /”Hidden Resolve/”. This skill recovers a small amount of stamina whenever a special is used. Since Mihawk has very low charge requirements for his specials, he is able to get the most out of this skill. He is also very reliant on dash cancels, eating up a lot of stamina so this skill synergizes with him very well.
As some of you may know, Mihawk gains instant sword charge if he is attacking in the air. Doing this allows him to bypass having to use the 5 hit ground combo to ramp up his charge to access strong finishers. In the air he will mostly either be using aerial C3 or the normal 5 hit Square button combo since those are his strongest options. This build allows him to spam aerial C3 and stay in the air indefinitely, by smartly combining the use of /”Hidden Resolve/” and some animation cancels. Overall I think Mihawk is a pretty solid character in PW4, very simple to just pick up and play. He is great at a lot of things, solid damage, solid AOE range, good specials, very versatile in all situations. His only weakness is that he struggles dealing with Logia characters due to relatively low armor break, but this can be remedied with proper usage of burst damage skills.
