Despite being very linear games, the Persona series is no stranger to bad endings. Persona games tend to have some type of social commentary on society and the grander message is conveyed throughout the games and their endings. The bad endings, however, show the outcome for those who miss the entire message or somehow took away only the opposite. Persona’s bad endings are antithetical to the themes and messages of the good endings. In this video, I will go through each Persona game (Persona 1, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5), summarize each bad ending and their variants, explain the implications of each bad end, and give my general impressions on how /”dark/” they are.
