If you are trying to unlock this request you need to have done the battle at the training grounds with Akari/Rei during the /”Request From Mai/” main story mission. This should be your first visit to the training grounds in the early game. After that you can head to Obsidian Fieldlands and talk to Yeo who will give you the request.
The best way to complete this task is to catch Kricketot without being spotted. You will get double research points for doing this because it’s completing two research tasks at once.
You can also get a few easy checkmarks by feeding one Kricketot, and also battling and defeating one Kricketot too.
You should find it pretty easy to get this research completed and then you can return to Yeo to complete the request and collect your reward of 3 Vivichokes.
