To unlock this request you need to have reached the Scaling Perilous Heights main story mission and passed the Ancient Quarry portion of that mission. You also need to have added Clefairy to your Pokedex by catching one at the Fabled Springs area at night.
Once you receive the request off the blackboard go downstairs at the Galaxy Hall to talk to Astair of the Supply Corps. He will tell you about how Clefairy used to dance in the moonlight in his old home land. He wants you to investigate whether they dance in the moonlit night here in Hisui as well.
To complete this mission you need to visit the Fabled Spring area of Coronet Highlands at night during a full moon. You can tell if the moon is full by putting Ursaring in your party and resting until you are able to evolve it using a Peat Block item.
However if you don’t have a peat block they can be incredibly hard to find so you’ll have to actually look at the moon to see what phase it is in. Then you can look at the image I included in the video to count how many times you have to rest until the moon will be full. This is the best way to get a full moon because otherwise you’ll have to rest and wait for the moon to crest over the mountains which takes absolutely forever. Just check it one time to see what phase you are currently in, then use the image in my video to count how many times you’ll have to rest until it’s fully. It takes a little math but it’s way faster I promise.
Once you get a full moon to spawn you can go to the Fabled Spring area and investigate the spot it tells you to Press A to investigate. Make sure you activate the request guide by going to your map and pressing Y and activating it under Requests.
When you investigate the spot it will show a cute animation of Clefairy dancing in the moonlight. It’s really adorable! Afterwards you can pick up a Moonstone at the glittering spot it shows you. Then you can return to Astair at the Galaxy Hall basement to complete the request and receive your rewards of 2 Medium XP Candy and 5 Salt Cakes.
