I’ve said it before and it’s becoming even more clear – Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Era of Pokemon Cards seems to be following the exact same trends as the Sword and Shield Era of Pokemon Cards.
First, we have both the base sets, which are fine but they aren’t anything too crazy to get excited about. Then, Paldea Evolved is actually an awesome 2nd set for SV… better than Rebel Clash in my opinion. Third, we have the Charizard focused sets of Obsidian Flames and Darkness Ablaze, which both of these don’t have very many valuable cards in the set.
Then, we are into the first specialty set of each era – Champion’s Path and 151.
If anything, Scarlet & Violet era is leading the way so far, so it’ll be fun to watch how the next few SV sets compare to the middle sets of the Sword & Shield era!
