One of the biggest problems I’ve had with cyndaquil and typhlosion are their designs, which seem to have gotten worse over time. Pokémon’s transition to 3D removed Typhlosion’s signature flames while in battle, effectively sucking the life out of its 2D counterpart
This is by far the worst in Pokémon GO, where you can only reveal its flames by tapping the Pokémon
But with Pokémon Home coming to Scarlet and Violet this spring, we can look forward to seeing Typhlosion the way he was always meant to be. Just like in Legends: Arceus, his flames are out for the whole battle, showing off its personality. Only losing them while roaming with you with the Let’s Go function.
