An Easier way to do /”companion glitch/”
An Easier way to get /”Hosea’s Rolling Block/” using the glitch before the Hunting Mission.
Special Thanks to James Wilson RDR2 and other amazing explorers of this. I got inspired from them and invented some of my own changes to make it very doable for everyone.

For those who wonder if it still works after the latest patch, Yes it does. I’m on 1491.16 build, the newest one.
Preparation: one Dynamite and one Dynamite Arrow(Pamphlet found in Wapiti: Arrow Flight Feather Dynamite) or Fire Bottle(pamphlet already in your satchel: Animal fat any wine )
1. I start in a save file a little East of camp, near the Dinosaur Lady Side Misson (LOL). I recommend that you have a save file to do this because there is a doctor bill after each dying since it may take some attempts to succeed.
2. Try to Empty Your Health Bar without dying(a Dynamite or Fire Bottle. Possible fail: you bomb or burn yourself dead. That way, reload).
3. Hostilize a passerby-a cowboy, a wagon near camp(see in video). They will shoot you dead shortly after pop-up message /”enemies led to camp/” and thus it should trigger the /”Companion Glitch/” (Possible fail: 1. enemies die before shooting you dead because guards of your camp shoot them down. That way, reload. 2. the message appears a long time before you die. That way, reload)
4. If the Glitch is triggerred, one or some of your gang members should be lured out. At the point of my game, they should be Dutch, John, Bill, Hosea, Karen. Any of the combinations. Each member has a small, gray dot on the map. Our focus is also on the weapon so we want Hosea out. As long as Hosea is out, it doesn’t matter if him alone or him with others. It may take some attempts, Plz be patient here (Possible fails: Hosea doesn’t come out or he comes out without the rifle. That way, reload).
5. Hosea is out with his Rolling Block (Many, Many Big Congrats because you are 99.9% done). He will stick with you. When you mount your horse, his horse will spawn and he will mount his horse.
6. On your horses, you hostalize a passerby nearby and don’t need to shoot. Hosea does the shooting and the enemy dies. After a short moment when the fight is over, he holsters the Rolling Block on his horse.
7. Here coms the Beatiful part: Hosea is invunerable but his horse is NOT. I prefer the Dynamite Arrow since it bangs instantly.
The Companion Glitch alone can be a lot of fun. Much to explore.
