Soulless Horror CM Tanking / Dhuum Kiting – Condition Virtuoso (Nourys Relic)

I felt like recording this since there aren’t that many SH tanking PoVs on youtube. On Dhuum I played kiter.

The overarching point I want to make here (as well as with the Soulbeast handkiting video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?vZrVbA-gzFig ) is that what you play is not nearly as important as how you play it when it comes to filling roles. I see a lot of players who have a narrow understanding of mechanics and roles in an encounter, where they strongly associate a particular role with a particular build.

In reality, most builds can do most roles, if necessary. Is it optimal to do this? Of course not, but being able to back up if needed is great.

My approach to learning something new in GW2 is to try to never learn mechanics on a particular role, but rather learn the mechanic itself, so I can play it on any build, if necessary. Being able to just /”kite/” or /”tank/” or /”pylon/” on any build on any boss, regardless of your current role, will make you a valuable asset to all the raid groups you will ever join.
