Stall Jumpluff Sweep

A Jumpluff sweep was first requested by Vikavolt is Epic 9 months ago, and has been requesting it ever since. In honor of his loyalty and persistence, I have created the long overdue Jumpluff sweep.

Jumpluff doesn’t lend itself to sweeping due to its low attack and lack of offensive setup moves/movepool. It has access to Cotton Guard and Amnesia which could be used as a wall setup, but its relatively low defenses and 4x Ice weakness makes this strategy unreliable.

I ended up settling on a stall/troll setup consisting of Raichu inflicting the opponent with Paralysis (Nuzzle), Confusion (Teeter Dance), and Accuracy drops (Flash), allowing Jumpluff to set up with Substitute and Double Team, then inflicting residual damage with Infestation and Leech Seed. Jumpluff’s high Speed helps it to protect with Substitute while recovering with Leftovers and Leech Seed.

This set is very RNG dependent, and can be countered by moves that bypass Substitute/Infiltrator, Magic Guard, reliable recovery, or unfavorable RNG.
