Alright, so first things first. You’ve got a variety of weapons at your disposal – autocannons, cannons, and lasers, right? Each of these bad boys needs a specific assignment. To set them up, you’re gonna have to navigate through your settings.

For all you PC gamers out there, by default, you’re gonna be in the flight control menu. To reach the weapon assignments, press ‘T’ or head over to ‘Weapons.’ This is where the magic happens.

Now, as you can see, you’ve got options like ‘W0,’ ‘W1,’ and ‘W2’ on your screen. These correspond to your left mouse button, right mouse button, and ‘G’ key on your keyboard, respectively. Currently, your Canon (or whatever you have equipped) is unassigned.

To assign a weapon, just click on the empty slot where it says ‘unassigned.’ Let’s say you want to assign your Canon to the ‘G’ key. Boom, click ‘G,’ and it’s done. Now, your Canon is ready to fire using the ‘G’ key.

But hey, if you’re not feeling the default setup and you want to mix things up, you can customize it. Head over to ‘Settings,’ then ‘Bindings.’ Here, you’ll find the options for ‘Fire Weapon 0,’ ‘Fire Weapon 1,’ and ‘Fire Weapon 2.’ These correspond to your left mouse button, right mouse button, and ‘G’ key, respectively.

Now, here’s a crucial thing to note – you can’t mix and match just any weapon combination. The game keeps it straightforward. Lasers can only be assigned with other lasers. Autocannons go with autocannons. And regular cannons go with regular cannons.

So, if you’re trying to assign a regular Canon and an autocannon together, it’s a no-go. They’re like oil and water in the weapon assignment menu. The same goes for lasers.

That pretty much covers it, folks! I hope this video helps you get your weapons assigned just the way you like ’em. Remember, in Starfield, it’s all about keeping it simple and sticking to the same weapon types if you want to assign them.
