Survival 98 – British Lifesaving

The Survival event at St.Ives, infront of the Tate Gallery. The event was created by Pete Gaisford of Perranporth SLSC and is and will be talked about for many years.

The event was competed as 2 laps of each individual ocean discipline which was timed. The final event, a 3km beach run was handicapped by the times accumulated from the 3 ocean disciplines. The event saw many spectators watching a global Surf Life Saving event.
