Artifacts are Collectibles that unlock Cheats & Gameplay Modifiers (e.g. permanent XP Boosts, becoming invisible to enemies, dealing and receiving double damage etc). You can enable/disable these under Menu – Field Guide – Artifacts.

MISSABLES WARNING: 7 of the Artifacts (#2-#8) can become unobtainable because they require having found all Owls. The problem is that Owl #26 is missable! It can only be found while you’re on the cruise ship (Mobile Fortress Gradia) in the 4th realm Mahag Saar, before the 4th lord boss. After defeating the 4th lord, the ship will sink and you can never return to it! If you miss that one it locks you out of 7 Artifacts (and thus the trophy for finding 20/23 Artifacts)! Be sure to follow the owl guide (linked below) during the story to not miss it (Owl #26 /”Butterfly Wings/” is the missable one, all other owls are still available after the story).

Recommended Guide Use:
– Finish the Story first, collect all Owls along the way. You may already find some Artifacts along the way.
– After the story, use this guide to mop up what you have remaining. The reason being that most of the required Sub-Quests are unavailable on 1st visit to the respective areas (backtracking is required). After the story, you will have access to all areas.
If a quest is unavailable, it means you must advance the story further and have to complete other sub-quests first. All 70 Sub-Quests in the game can still be done after the story, none of them are missable!
