One of the more interesting details we hadn’t really seen previously is the inclusion of a new ‘Special Style’ control type that offers up easier access to combos and special moves with some added flexibility when players want to use them.
When Tekken 8’s Special controls are enabled, the game will take 5 buttons (the 4 face buttons and R1 on PlayStation 5 for example) and assign them different uses with a move display that stays on the screen.
As noted by IGN’s preview, The triangle button is shown to be used for air / launcher combos by pressing it repeatedly, circle is for low attacks, cross is for Power Crush, square for Specialty Move and R1 for Heat Smash / Heat Burst. (via eventhubs)
