Whenever a new Chilla’s Arts game is released, it is always time to celebrate. Their previous games have been wonderful and offered scary and tense situations interwoven with daily Japanese life. Since I lived in Tokyo for 8 years it is always a source of nostalgia and recognition to visit the various locations in their games. And with The Bathhouse that gets elevated to a new level. I’m a big fan of the Japanese hot spring aka Onsens. I have visited many and seeing it realized in such a detail in this game is wonderful. But not only the environment is great, but the scares and thrill factor are also turned up to eleven with this one. I would argue that this is their scariest game to date and that is definitely a good thing! The daily chores you have to do are also not repetitive or last too long, making it way better than some previous entries. It is only made by a small team, and I am glad to see how much they have improved over time and wish them the best of luck on their next project.
