The Mega Problem with Mega Evolution in Pokemon GO

The Mega Pokemon Update in Pokemon GO has been met with heavy criticism. Given the costs of Mega Evolving and the Mega Energy payout in Mega Raids, Mega Pokemon appear to be heavily monetized. This has sparked outrage in the Pokemon GO community as this Mega Fiasco makes Niantic look really greedy. At best, Niantic made a mistake when developing Megas, failing to see the forest for the trees. At worst, Niantic intentionally made the Mega system unbalanced in order to profit off of the Mega Hype and then further profit off of “fixing” the issue they created. Either way, people aren’t happy.
