GamerU back again with another guide for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot! Today we’re gonna do some background on Traps and how you could best use them to your advantage. First off, we have the trap generator. This is the static battery to all nearby traps in a 12 by 12 grid to a limit depending on the amount of power each trap requires. This prevents you from just littering every inch of your castle with just traps to annoy your incoming heroes with no sense of strategy. There are three unofficial types of traps: cannons, mines and obstacles. Canons are powered turrets that shoot fire in various different ways. They can either lob fireballs to a delay or shoot an aoe spitter that rotates to damage heroes in the way of their line of fire. Mines are a means of damaging or crowd control but have to be in direct contact with the hero to have any effect. Place these in conjuncture with monster mobs so that heroes have to think twice about stepping away from mobs. And last are obstacles, which have an array of different effects, but serve as sort of my others category. These are used to move heroes around in a less aggressive way than other traps. The springboard for example, doesn’t apply damage, but moves the hero or any monster that passes over it. But the hamster wheel does deal damage, but in a more predictable manner. I think what makes these obstacles a different class all on their own. Make sure you use a mix out of all these traps to not only optimize your castle, but to keep heroes from learning a pattern to defeating your fortress. That’s all for now, make sure to tune back in for more guides to your favorite games!
