The Quest for Plant Survival in Small Worlds (Biomaker CA)

Biomaker CA is an Artificial Life project where we simulate growth, survival and reproduction of complex plants in an ever changing biome. But how hard is it to create a stable biome in smaller worlds? In this video I show I attempted to solve this seemingly trivial problem.
