VGC Data has looked at which tera types are used the most in tournaments, and we’ve put them in a list for you.
#5: Ghost, which is used on Murkrow, Maushold, and Indeedee to evade moves like Fake Out or Population Bomb.
#4: Steel, used on Gholdengo, Hydreigon, and Dondozo to deal extra damage or increase their resistances.
#3: Water on Amoonguss, Tatsugiri & Kingambit to reduce Fire damage
#2: Fire, which is used on Sylveon, Annhilape, and Hydreigon. Steel and Fairy Pokemon have a tough time when these three terastalize.
