A new kind of video that I might be able to do monthly (assuming I don’t have issues with 2.0 buffs of characters I don’t have in the future, if that’s the case then I might ask for help). I wanted to try something new, especially after seeing last month’s upgrades and how they sort of pioneered the addition of anomaly breaking as well as expanded further upon Killers, which is what we saw again here. Also, in one of the units’ cases, we see one of their initial effects outright removed (which was probably for the better considering it doesn’t exactly benefit herself). So yeah, some cool upgrades this month, and hopefully next month will have some cool ones again!

Koishi’s Skill upgrades pretty much entail an improvement on Skills and Spell Cards, as well as slightly less selfish effects, mainly with the CRIT ATK and CRIT Accuracy buffs on Spell Cards as well as team Spirit Power on Skill 3. Not the hugest set of buffs for her but it’s something.

So this is the unit who decided to turn her back on her Spell Card 1 effects that actually benefit the enemy in terms of Yin ATK and Yang ATK, and pretty much give Spell Card 1’s Pre-ATK effects a makeover. Aside from that, not the most exciting set of upgrades for her, although her Skills did get upgraded some time ago for JP.

1:29 L1 Junko
She really is on the road to redemption from her truly disappointing kit. Slowly, but surely, but progress is progress. From being able to get 2.00 from Skills alone, to getting more Killers in the bullet lines of her Spell Cards and Last Word, being Moon, Incident Resolver, Fairy and Frog. She still has some flaws that see her as irredeemable in some aspects like her mix of Yin and Yang with her FR 2.0 buffs now focusing more on the Yin side, which is mainly accesses at 3P. With all the Spirit Power buffs she is now getting, at least that isn’t so hard to achieve now.

2:47 R2 Yuyuko
Alongside her pre-existing upgrades, looking more solid now, especially with her Last Word’s damage potential as she now does a tiny bit more debuffing there as well as add Sure-Hit lines which is niche, but we have seen Divergent Spirits stages who make it hard to hit so…could actually be useful in times like that? Regardless, the Spell Card effects are a bit strange, inflicting Freeze and Poison on enemies? Unless they are planning to add Freeze/Poison breaks on those Spell Cards in the future, it seemed a bit strange, but regardless, not bad overall.

She is finally being less selfish with her buffs! With upgrades this time just being for Spell Cards and Last Word here as well, the effects on her Spell Card Pre-ATKs do definitely get a glow-up, including Accuracy buffs for the team via Spell Card 1, Paralyze anomaly inflictions set up to be broken with Spell Card 2, and now her Yin and Yang ATK buffs are for the team on her Spell Cards and Last Word, as well as the latter having additional Sure-Hit and Killers on Bullet Line 1 (Fairy, Soul, Undead, Swordswoman, Martial Artist, Magician). Overall, I’m happy with the direction they are going with her upgrades.
4:45 Z1 Marisa
Last but definitely not least, Z1 Marisa with more Spell Card and Last Word upgrades! Spell Card 1 adds Accuracy while strengthening her initial Yin ATK buff, and Spell Card 2 adds CRIT ATK while strengthening her initial Spirit Power buffs there. Both Spell Cards’ Burn anomaly inflictions are improved a bit, although there is still the same RNG there. Her Last Word is funny though, because we see more of that anomaly inflicting breaking action here, with her Last Word Pre-ATK strengthening her CRIT ATK and CRIT Accuracy buffs a little while adding a Burn anomaly infliction (3 layers) on all enemies with it being broken on Line 5 (2P) which is actually pretty cool in my opinion. Also, we see her Last Word Line 1 now have both Incident Resolver and Scarlet Devil Mansion Killers as well as Sure-Hit which is pretty awesome to now have for her Last Word tbh. Maybe Z1 Marisa has the most exciting buffs this time around, but it might be close.
