You block a hit and you activate sunscorched tablet and the shield’s passive, giving you a 35% buff (30% at mythics) to your rapier’s sunscorch passive.
Block three hits in a row and that’s double fire damage!
Now you pair this with towering bulwark and it’s four rune bonus to allow your next three hits to always crit and give you health back; leading to even more fire damage!
I saw several instances where my fire damage got to over 400 and I’m not even full godlike yet!
This probably works with hydra warrior over hydra protectorate but would be a bit scarier on bosses like mana golem. I opted for the tank armor to increase my shield health to reliably block more damage!
