Warriors of Waterdeep – (Boss Guide) – Heartcoil Deeps – Advanced Strategy
After many runs through the Heartcoil Depths, here is the advanced player guide to farming Qholillaroon.

Strategy
1) This challenge is much more involved than the other dungeons I’ve covered. This challenge involves pre-dungeon boost and health planning, multi-enemy attacks and understanding the boss mechanics.

Boss Mechanics:
1) If Qholillaroon goes first, we will perform an injure on all heroes in the last row.
2) If you have a hero on the front line, he will perform a push attack on the hero. If you have two, it will be a random push.
3) If you have a hero as far as the middle, he will perform a pull; however, if all your heroes are in the middle, he will injure them all.
4) After he performs his initial attack, he will perform this sequence at the end of his attacks:
– Duplicate himself so that there are clones of him that when attacked, do no damage to Qholillaroon.
– Switch 2 of your heroes. A random hero the closest with a random hero the furthest.
– Perform a random dominate, even on invisible and taunted heroes. The dominated hero will usually be a random hero furthest away.
– Duplicate himself
– Repeat

Updated Boss Strategy:
1) In this advanced guide, we strive to defeat Qholillaroon before he can get to his dominate sequence, so we don’t have to worry about restore and dominate.
2) There is nothing you can do if Qholillaroon goes first, but when you are strong enough, his injure hardly does any damage so no worries.
3) If you go first, depending on your hero, this will be your goal:
– Farideh – move forward and hope for pants damage
– Tommus – move forward only one space unless Farideh or Halbenet can go directly after him, then try to move Tommus to front line. Do not move Tommus in front of a hero on his first move as this might prevent Qholillaroon from pulling another hero forward.
– Halbenet – I generally move forward one space or use his ATK skill.
– Saarvin – Use his rare quiver to decrease bosses defense then attack with bow. If Qholillaroon has duplicates up, I use his legendary headband to attack them all.
4) After the first round, and if Qholillaroon has duplicates up, you want to use Farideh’s DEF – headband or row attack to remove as many duplicates as possible. DEF – has 100% chance to remove all duplicates and reduces bosses defense where as attack row has chance to miss so carefully consider. Generally DEF – is your best move.
5) Qholillaroon if not defeated by now will perform an action as described above, but not dominate yet. I generally have Tommus to the front row by now to have a chance when boss attacks to do a counter attack, and usually this will defeat him.
6) If you get unlucky or are not fully strong enough yet, you may have to now deal with dominate. In general, I’d recommend you get Farideh to back row to take the dominate as she can do less damage than your other team members depending on your weapon used.

Team tips:
1) Pre-challenge team ordering has seemingly no benefit for this challenge.
2) Restore is critical for lower level teams that need time to do damage, but not in this advanced guide.
3) Having a three-ranged attack hero is very powerful: Shevarith, Saarvin, Naomlen’s epic helmet, or Farideh. I prefer Shevarith as she can do massive damage and also stun.
4) Disarm will help you get through the dungeons leading up to the boss. Stun is another good ability.
5) Tommus with his epic sword and shield will give your team a huge defense buff to survive the power difference between your team and the enemies at lower team levels.
6) Any setup for Halbenet is good. In this video, I’m focused on speed so using rare pants and increase attack for team.
