Starkiller – also known as Galen Marek – was Darth Vader’s apprentice between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. But was this powerful Force-wielder a Sith?

The son of two secretly married Jedi, Galen’s family hid on the planet Kashyyyk. While still a young child, his mother was killed by Trandoshan slavers.

Shortly after Vader tracked down the Jedi and his son. Galen – only a child – revealed his immense power in the Force and easily took Vader’s lightsaber from him.

Trained by Darth Vader, the Dark Lord gave him the codename Starkiller.

Due to the Rule of Two, Starkiller was never given the title of Sith; however, he was more than powerful enough to have taken one of the roles.

His powers were so great, he was able to pull a Star Destroyer out of the sky and crash it to the ground using only the Force.

There is quite a bit more to Starkiller’s story; however, he is no longer canon, but we can all dream that one day Starkiller will return to the Star Wars universe.
