Patch 3.22 recently dropped onto the PTU for wave 1 backers and the reception was largely mixed, especially when it came to its latest feature ‘structural salvage’ due to its simplistic initial implementation. This has lead many to talk about ‘beam citizen’ a concept used to describe CIG’s approach to making gameplay elements simpler and fun while also easier to balance and manage from a dev perspective, but at the cost of more complex and immersive gameplay.
In today’s video I review the critiques and provide some of my own takes on the issue.
