![Witcher 3 Wild Hunt: Visiting Skellige Early (Level 4)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GVz6oxjtipg/hqdefault.jpg)
The recommended levels for Witcher 3 are that you do Velen first, then Novigrad at approximately level 10, then Skellige at about level 16. However, you can get to Skellige much earlier if you want to, as I show here by doing it at level 4!
A couple of points about this; I wouldn’t necessarily recommend doing this at at level 4. It’s easier the later you do it, but these tactics work even better if you only try to get to Skellige slightly early instead of REALLY early.
The main advantages are for collecting the Places of Power and for getting some really good Gwent cards early, particularly Thaler for the Northern Realms deck. You could easily just buy Thaler, collect the Places of Power and be back in Velen within 1-2 hours. This video is more aimed at people doing a second playthrough on Death March, but obviously you can follow it as you see fit.
There are also a lot of items in random people’s houses in Skellige, especially alcohol like Temerian Rye and Nilfgaardian Lemon. You can sell these to Herbalists like the one on Novigrad Square for a good chunk of money.
Have fun exploring Skellige, and please like, comment and subscribe if you enjoyed!
